Why work with me?
As an experienced chef specialising in restricted and intolerance-friendly cooking, I also understand this from personal experience.
I live with multiple food intolerances myself (twelve to be exact), including nightshades, dairy, yeast, bananas, nuts and mushrooms, as well as having to avoid sugar, caffeine, wheat, carbohydrates and starchy foods as part of my own gut-healing diet.
I know first-hand how frustrating it can feel when you suddenly have to completely rethink the way you eat and adapt your lifestyle around a long list of restrictions. It can feel like your favourite foods have been taken away and leave you wondering, “What on earth am I supposed to eat now?
-
But having a background as a chef has meant I’ve been able to get creative. I’ve spent years developing, adapting and reinventing recipes so that restricted food can still be flavourful, varied and genuinely enjoyable. In fact, many of the recipes I’ve created from my own experience are available for you to enjoy for free in the recipe section of my website.
When we work together, I’ll bring that same practical, creative approach to your individual situation helping you find clever ingredient swaps, adapt recipes, discover new foods and create delicious meals, snacks and treats that work around your restrictions, lifestyle and the way you actually eat.
Most importantly, I want to help you stop seeing your diet as a list of things you can’t have and start seeing all the delicious possibilities that are still available to you.
If you’re tired of feeling restricted, overwhelmed and stuck eating the same foods, I want to help you see what’s possible, rather than focusing on everything you can’t have.
My approach is to focus on the other side of the equation:
What can you eat?
What can you substitute?
What can you adapt?
What can you create?
How can you make food enjoyable again?
That's where my chef experience can make a real difference.
Here’s what my clients have to say

This consultation focuses on guidance, clarity, and practical support rather than creating a fully personalised meal plan, nutrition plan, recipe collection, or bespoke cookery book.

This consultation is ideal if you’ve been newly diagnosed with a food intolerance and suddenly need to make changes to your diet, but don’t know where to start.
If you need a little hand-holding and practical guidance, I’ll help you work out what to eat, what to buy, how to plan meals and how to adapt your favourite recipes so the whole family can enjoy them.
We can also look at grocery shopping and label reading — including what to look for on food labels, which ingredients to watch out for and how to make confident choices when you’re shopping.
It’s about taking away the confusion and helping you feel more confident about managing your new diet in everyday life.
-
Absolutely! This is something I specialise in, both professionally and from personal experience. I have multiple food intolerances myself, so I understand first-hand how overwhelming it can be when you suddenly have to rethink the way you eat.
Over the years, I’ve developed countless intolerance-friendly recipes through my food blog and my work as a chef. This has given me a real understanding of how different ingredients work, which substitutes actually work in practice, and how to adapt recipes without compromising on flavour.
So I’m not just giving you a list of things you can’t eat. I can show you what you can eat, how to make it work and how to enjoy food again.
-
After our session, I like to take some time to reflect on everything we’ve discussed and thoughtfully put together ideas, food swaps and practical suggestions that are specifically tailored to you.
I’ll take the time to consider what could make your day-to-day life easier and curate information that I feel will be genuinely useful for your particular needs, rather than sending you a generic list of advice.
I aim to send your personalised follow-up email within one week of our consultation, giving you plenty of time to put our conversation into practice with some practical ideas to take away.
-
The consultation can take place either online via Zoom or over the phone whichever you feel most comfortable with.
And if you’re not particularly tech-savvy, don’t worry! There’s no need to figure out Zoom or wrestle with technology. A good old-fashioned phone call is absolutely fine.
-

I can offer my services internationally and work with clients wherever they are based. The only limitation is that I wouldn’t be able to recommend specific free-from brands or products available outside the UK, simply because I’m not familiar enough with the brands and products in every country. Everything else can be tailored to your individual allergies, intolerances and dietary needs, so you can still receive a fully personalised service wherever you are.
