Personalised Cookery Classes
From £250
Imagine having a cookery class created entirely around you, your food intolerances, dietary requirements, cooking ability, favourite foods and the things you actually want to learn.
Meet your free-from chef
I’m Kam, and I’ve been a chef for over 25 years, specialising in food allergies, intolerances and restricted diets.
I also live with multiple food intolerances myself, so I understand first-hand how difficult it can be to cook without ingredients you’ve always relied on.
After years of developing recipes, testing substitutions and adapting cooking techniques, I know how to make food work around different dietary needs.
I’ll use that experience to help you cook with confidence, whatever stage you’re at with your food intolerances.
Imagine having a cookery class created entirely around you
No trying to adapt a standard recipe that contains ingredients you can’t eat. No wondering what you can substitute or whether the recipe will still work. And no feeling like you have to miss out on delicious food because your diet has become complicated.
Instead, you’ll have a completely personalised cooking experience where every recipe, ingredient and technique is chosen with your individual needs in mind.
That’s exactly what my intolerance friendly cookery classes are designed to give you.
When cooking with intolerances feels complicated
If you’re dealing with multiple food intolerances, allergies or dietary restrictions, cooking can sometimes feel like a minefield, especially when you’re unsure how to adapt recipes or what ingredients to use instead. When you’re constantly thinking about what you can’t eat, cooking can quickly become stressful rather than something you enjoy.
As a chef who specialises in intolerance-friendly and restricted-diet cooking, I’ll help you take the guesswork out of it, showing you how to make clever substitutions and work confidently with the ingredients you can eat. Most importantly, I’ll show you how to create food that is full of flavour and never feels like a compromise.
Your diet. Your class. Your way of cooking.
This personalised cookery class is perfect if:
You want to learn how to cook delicious, flavour filled food without relying on ingredients that don’t agree with you.
You’d like to build your confidence in the kitchen and stop feeling overwhelmed by what you can and can’t eat.
You learn best by actually seeing and doing, rather than simply reading recipes or being given a list of foods to avoid.
You want a cookery class that is genuinely about you and your individual dietary requirements, rather than a standard class adapted with a few substitutions.
You’re bored with eating the same meals and want to discover new ingredients, recipes and cooking techniques that work for your diet.
How does this process work?
Applying for a cookery class
All cookery lessons are by application only. Click on the button below and you’ll complete a questionnaire covering your food intolerances, dietary requirements, cooking experience, preferences, lifestyle and what you’d like to achieve from your session.
2. Your clarity call
Once I’ve received your application, I’ll review your requirements and email you to let you know whether I feel the class is a good fit for you. If so, we’ll arrange a 20-minute clarity call by phone or Zoom, where we can discuss your dietary requirements, talk through ideas for your cookery lesson and work out exactly what you’d like to learn. I’ll then email you a bespoke quote for your class, along with a payment and booking link, so you can choose a date and time that suits you.
3. Your personalised class plan
I’ll create your class around your individual dietary needs, skill level, kitchen setup and food preferences, choosing recipes and techniques that are genuinely useful to you.
4. This is where we get cooking
Choose to cook alongside me in your own kitchen via Zoom, or watch as I prepare your recipes while you ask questions and pick my brain about cooking and substitutions. If you come to my home, your class will combine demonstrations with hands-on cooking so get ready to get your hands dirty! If you have numerous recipes that you would like to learn, I can break these up into smaller sessions in 2 or 4 hour blocks.
What you get from this personalised service
-
Cooking for Your Diet
With recipes and techniques tailored to your individual intolerances, allergies or dietary restrictions, you’ll learn how to cook food that genuinely works for you. We’ll focus on ingredients you can eat and explore practical ways to adapt recipes without compromising on flavour. You’ll also gain useful skills and ideas that you can take away and use confidently in your own kitchen.
-
Take the Guesswork Out
Learn which ingredients work for your individual dietary requirements and how to make substitutions that actually work. You’ll understand how and why to swap ingredients, rather than relying on trial and error. This can make adapting recipes much easier and less frustrating.
-
Build Confidence
Develop practical cooking skills you can use every day, from basic techniques to adapting recipes around your restrictions. You’ll become more comfortable experimenting with ingredients and trying new dishes. The aim is to help you feel confident enough to recreate what you’ve learned on your own.
-
Try Something New
Move beyond the same safe meals and discover new recipes, ingredients and ways of cooking. Your class will be planned around foods you can eat and the flavours you enjoy. You might even discover a few new favourites along the way.
-
Get Expert Guidance
Ask questions and learn directly from a chef with over 25 years of experience. You’ll have the opportunity to pick my brain about cooking, ingredients, substitutions and anything else you’ve been struggling with. The advice is completely personalised to your individual needs rather than being generic guidance.
-
Enjoy Cooking Again
Create delicious, flavour-filled food that works for your diet without feeling like you’re missing out. Instead of focusing on all the foods you can’t eat, we’ll explore what you can make and how good it can taste. Most importantly, I want you to leave feeling inspired, capable and excited to get back into your kitchen.
Why work with me?
As an experienced chef specialising in restricted and intolerance-friendly cooking, I also understand this from personal experience. I live with multiple food intolerances myself (twelve to be exact), including nightshades, dairy, yeast, bananas, nuts and mushrooms, as well as having to avoid sugar, caffeine, wheat, carbohydrates and starchy foods as part of my own gut-healing diet.
I know first-hand how frustrating it can feel when you suddenly have to completely rethink the way you eat and adapt your lifestyle around a long list of restrictions. It can feel like your favourite foods have been taken away and leave you wondering, “What on earth am I supposed to eat now?
-
But having a background as a chef has meant I’ve been able to get creative. I’ve spent years developing, adapting and reinventing recipes so that restricted food can still be flavourful, varied and genuinely enjoyable. In fact, many of the recipes I’ve created from my own experience are available for you to enjoy for free in the recipe section of my website.
When we work together, I’ll bring that same practical, creative approach to your individual situation helping you find clever ingredient swaps, adapt recipes, discover new foods and create delicious meals, snacks and treats that work around your restrictions, lifestyle and the way you actually eat.
Most importantly, I want to help you stop seeing your diet as a list of things you can’t have and start seeing all the delicious possibilities that are still available to you.
If you’re tired of feeling restricted, overwhelmed and stuck eating the same foods, I want to help you see what’s possible, rather than focusing on everything you can’t have.
My approach is to focus on the other side of the equation:
What can you eat?
What can you substitute?
What can you adapt?
What can you create?
How can you make food enjoyable again?
That's where my chef experience can make a real difference.
Here’s what my clients have to say
This service isn’t for you if:
You don’t have a suitable kitchen setup. To get the most out of your personalised cookery class, you’ll need a basic kitchen with essential cooking equipment, utensils and enough workspace to prepare the recipes we’ll be working on. You don’t need a professional kitchen, but you do need the basics to take part comfortably.
You’re looking for a standard cookery class with a set menu or pre-planned recipes rather than a class built around your individual dietary requirements.

Questions before you buy
-
This consultation is ideal if you’ve been newly diagnosed with a food intolerance and suddenly need to make changes to your diet, but don’t know where to start.
If you need a little hand-holding and practical guidance, I’ll help you work out what to eat, what to buy, and create recipes just for you
It’s about taking away the confusion and helping you feel more confident about managing your new diet in everyday life.
-
This is exactly what the service is built for. The questionnaire and clarity call exist so I understand every restriction and how they interact, not just the obvious ones.
-
Two weeks from our clarity call. I will email you a copy of the ebook in a handy pdf so you are able to download it and print it out.
-
The consultation can take place either online via Zoom or over the phone whichever you feel most comfortable with.
And if you’re not particularly tech-savvy, don’t worry! There’s no need to figure out Zoom or wrestle with technology. A good old-fashioned phone call is absolutely fine.
-
Click any button on this page and complete the short questionnaire. I'll email you to let you know if you're a good fit for the service, along with a link to book your clarity call and make your payment.
Once you're booked in, you'll get an email with everything you need — your Zoom link if you've chosen online, or a call at your chosen time if you've opted for phone. After our clarity call, I'll spend two weeks creating your recipe eBook, which lands in your inbox ready to download. If anything's not quite right, you get two rounds of revisions to fix it.
-
You'll fill in a detailed questionnaire and join one clarity call. After that, the work is mine. The more specific you are in both, the more the recipes will actually fit your life.
-
You get two rounds of revisions after delivery, so we can adjust anything that isn't right for you.
-
Generic books ask you to adapt around them. This works the other way the recipes are built around your restrictions from the start, so there's no substituting left for you to figure out.
